TweetNOW THAT LOOKS LIKE YOU WILL FEEL IT TOMORROW!!
TweetHe's not even doing it right! After about rep two, watch his form very carefully....the entire portion of the rep from the wheel being out in front of him to the wheel underneath him is lats and triceps. He's not using his abs to 'pull' the wheel back, he's using his lats and triceps. Now, on the negative, yes, he is using his abs. If he was actually using his abs like he is supposed to be doing.....then that would be impressive.
If you have not used the wheel, then you should. Start with a position on your knees and 'feel' the difference in using your abs to lower you and pull your wheel back versus using your abs during the negative and then your lats and triceps to pull it back. It's a COMPLETELY different exercise when done correctly, but 'if' done correctly you will have some strong abs.
TweetI've never used one of those before, I'm gonna have to try that.
Tweetsloppy form or not; I can't do it.
TweetOh, give it a try....you will see that gravity will get you down there without a problem. lol Then, if you have good lat strength, you will get the wheel back under you. The reason I know is I used to do it wrong and when I was showed the correct way, it was very tough but very beneficial. I need to start doing those things again.
Tweet^ I have. Ab wheel will tear your lower abs up whether your using your lats or not. LOL, I try to use as much upper body as possible! that $hit hurts.
