TweetTake two steaks new york, round steak, or serloin steaks, it doesn't matter. Tenderize with a meat tenderizer hammer or take a knife and jab into meat all over. Then set steaks aside. To prepare marinade: Get two large ziploc baggies or one large one to fit both steaks in. Fill baggies with about two inches of olive oil. Then get Italian dressing. Add about 5 good squeezes of it into the oil and swish around to mix. Then add about ten shakes of ground garlic fresh or powder works better, ten shakes of ground bay leaves, 10 good shakes of rosemary, then same with thyme, italian seasonings, and a good brand of meat tenderizer Adolf's is good. Swish all ingrediants around with the oil and italian dressing . Then take the steaks and put them in the baggies and seal, making sure all air is out of the baggies. After sealing swish mixture so all steaks are covered with the mixture and lay the baggies with the steak on a flat plate and put in the fridge for tw to four hrs. After 2-4 hrs or when you are ready to grill, take the steaks out of the baggies and they will be ready for grilling. This is one of the most tasty and tender steaks you will have and it works with those tougher round steaks; making them taste like new yorks! Oh, this is an excellent marinade for grilling chicken also.
TweetHey reading that made me hungry. ;]
Sounds like a great marinade, I will have to give that a try sometime.. perhaps when the weather gets better around here so I'm not standing outsize freezing trying to grill steaks. ;]
(The george foreman just doesn't have the same great taste) :/
