McCormick® Slow Cookers Hearty Beef Stew Seasoning
1 1/3 cups water
1 tablespoon oil
2 pounds beef stew meat, trimmed and cut into 1-inch cubes
2 cups cubed potatoes
1 1/2 cups peeled and cubed carrots
1 medium onion, cut into thin wedges
1/2 cup sliced celery
Mix Seasoning Mix and water in medium bowl until blended; set aside.
Heat oil in Instant Pot on SAUTÉ function. Place meat in pot. Cook and stir 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Add vegetables. Pour in seasoning mixture. Close lid. Set Valve to Seal.
Set to cook for 30 minutes on MEAT/STEW function or until meat and vegetables are tender. When done, quick release the pressure. Open the lid once pressure inside the pot is completely released. (Check manufacturer’s manual for safe operating directions.)
Total time with prep was under an hour. Hearty, comforting and delicious. Change it up, anything goes. I used vegetable broth, in place of water, and also added some cooking wine. YUM!
