Hey I am ksbst9mm girlfriend. My preferred salad dressing is a mixture of any type of vinegar (balsamic, red wine, white wine, champagne), extra virgin olive oil (1:1), honey, salt and pepper. You only want to add a small amount of honey to round out the flavors. Also splurge on the vinegar and olive oil - you will really notice the difference. Feel free to add fresh herbs (finely chopped) (basil and thyme are my favorites), lemon or lime juice (I use the real fruit and would just squeeze a little in - a little goes a long way), minced garlic, etc.
      Sample recipe:
1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
      1/4 c. champagne vinaigrette
      1 tbsp. honey
      pinch of salt
      pinch of fresh ground pepper
      1 tsp. minced garlic
1/4 tsp. fresh finely chopped thyme
whisk the ingredients all together in a good size bowl
taste test the ingredients, I often add an extra splash of vinegar to add more acid
this will make a decent amount of dressing - I still try to adhere to the rule of thumb of a 2 tbsp. serving size
I hope this is helpful - you really can play around with this equation and add anything you want.
