TweetFelice is from the neighborhood we live in. She is a tiny gal but a tough one for sure.
TweetOnly fight I even have 1/2 interest in is the Felice Herrig fight. Guess the Holm fight fight might be good. Be cool to see if the Russian underdog can take her out.

TweetGREAT FIGHTS! well the main even was OK but the rest were great
Valentina Shevchenko def. Holly Holm via unanimous decision Holly just does not have the ability to enter, she needs a fighter to come after her. when she leeds she leads with her head and gets countered. Valentina looked great, she put together that 1-2 left RH combo beatifully. I look forward to seeing her fight nunes
Edson Barboza def. Gilbert Melendez via unanimous decision The heart of melendez cannot be denied, he dropped barboza a couple of times. His boxing is incredible. But barboza has those fericious kicks! FIGHT OF THE NIGHT very close for the first 3
Francis Ngannou def. Bojan Mihajlovic via first-round TKO (1:34) Francis is a LARGE man, he made quick work of Bojan with even getting touched
Felice Herrig def. Kailin Curran via sub (rear-naked choke) (R1, 1:59) Felice looked like a beast! once on the ground walked through Curran
Undercard
Eddie Wineland def. Frankie Saenz via third-round TKO (1:54) Saenz is tough for sure but wineland is a terminator, just keeps coming forward and punching. wineland BIG TKO for the win
Darren Elkins def. Godofredo Pepey via unanimous decision (29-27 x2, 30-26) Elkins is tough, pepey was very unorthodox and there were some great BJJ exchanges on the ground
Kamaru Usman def. Alexander Yakovlev via unanimous decision (30-25 x3)Usman is a realy good wrestler but not a fun fighter to watch
Tweetcurran should have never tried to go to the ground with felce. she wore her out. i fell asleep during the homes fight but will watch again later today

TweetFelice was ON last night. For a less than stacked card the matches were damn good. Good show

Tweetholly showed her weakness. she threw combos in one spot, she is a killer if you chase her but you have to advance with an opponent that backs up as you throw and keep them on their heel. if you stop and throw and do not move after you are an easy target. she led with her head on the jab to left cross and she got countered with the right hook almost every time.
shevchenko showed her skills for sure. those short chopping kicks to the leg were brutally quick and efficient. this girl is GOOD!
barboza vs melendez was my pick for fight of the night. it was very close through 3. melendez knocked barboza down a couple of time, i do not think it was enough to win the rounds but made them razor close. anyway melendez was still fighting at the end. he is on crutches today and will be in pain a month.
when herrig took curran's back it was like magic that was super slick getting the hooks in during a scramble from a less than optimal position.. that girl is a beast on the ground. having big frog in her corner helps that guys is slick on the ground and a great coach. (funny herrig's opponent was curran and so is her coach!)
Tweetall in all it was a good card alot of the prelims were good also.. Eddie wineland supprised me in how he waited to get the kill but till got the ko in the third . edson Barboza and those leg kicks damn
TweetNow i have to load trucks and work bintower
