Tweet// In 1975, when the 41st round of combat between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier was done, capped off by their epic third bout, better known as the “Thrilla in Manila,” two of the greatest heavyweight boxers ever let their guard down after punishing each other physically and verbally for years."I always bring out the best in the men I fight, but Joe Frazier, I'll tell the world right now, brings out the best in me," Ali said. "I'm gonna tell ya, that's one helluva man, and God bless him.""Man, I hit him with punches that'd bring down the walls of a city," Frazier coun ... Read the Full Article Here

TweetI have to totally disagree with this article. It is not taking a shot at greatness to jump two weight classes and fight one of the better fighters in that division, its poor planning and arrogance. I can respect Connors all or nothing attitude and his self confidence but lets all just get real for a moment. McGregor walks around at about the mid 160's. Does that make him a fighter in the 170 pound division? I guess... Most guys in that weight class walk around at 190+. You cut weight so you can be the biggest guy at your weight, not have to gain a couple pounds to even make the mark.... I know he was supposed to fight at 155 and the fight fell through. You know who he was supposed to fight?, the champion of that division. Perhaps get your feet wet before you run your mouth off about destroying people in a division you have never been in and actually do some good preparation. Over eating to make weight to fight is not my idea of a good fight plan.
Sure will power is not gonna get you a win two weight classes up in the UFC and IMO is not greatness. What he should have done is worked his way up and thought it out. McGregor says weight classes should not be an issue to a martial artist.... Maybe then he should go fight Daniel Cormier and take on the light heavy weight champ. When you enter division I would assume you are doing it to be the champion at some point. I really doubt McGregor would last a round with Lawler.
I think the media created something we all wanted to believe in, a man who could do what others could not just by willing it to happen. I think Connor could someday be a contender in multiple divisions but is no where close right now.
