TweetAs long as you are having elevated heart rates due to the sprinting it is healthy. Sitting in the recliner with 200bpm would be bad. And hell yes you can workout and run on the same day. I would lift first then run. The reason I say that is it will warm those muscles back up and you wont be as sore. Just remember as you are burning more calories your body is going to need more so when you incorporate your lifting you may have to tweak your diet.
