      Over head pressing? a waste? I love pressing overhead. Dumbells, barbells...its all good. Behind the neck presses really seem to burn my delts good...As far as heavy bench pressing with a bar, well, I think that is a waste because they will eventually demolish the shoulder joints

      I assume you are talking about actually performing a negative with any type of pressing movement. For me I do not get much out of doing negatives since I already do my lifting slow and controlled.

      Eccentric contraction aka "negative" can be a good part of the repetition

      negatives in bench pressing. I thinks its a waste. Imo you should keep the bar moving at all times,yes some struggle but that bar has to keep moving.A bomb tell me why you think the negative is the most important part.I find nothing beneficial Of doing a negative.If one wants to increas a press then they need to work on there triceps more. I see these morons in the gym when someone cant get the bar up there screaming cmon push,no you idiot the kid cant get it take the bar

      Doing one or two negatives every once in a while I think will really help your strength. Let it down slowly then have a spotter help to pull it up quickly.
