TweetForearm curls! LOL
I'm going with Squats because very few people actually do them and most that do don't do them with good form. Next would be stiff legs because a lot of people actually keep their legs stiff. That makes it a back extension exercise, when it's actually supposed to be hip flexion. When done properly, there SHOULD be movement in the hips AND knees because the hamstring muscles cross both the hip AND knee joints. The do NOT cross the back though, so why do them with your legs locked? All you are doing is stretching them. It's the same concept as grabbing a weight in one hand and doing side bends. LOL That does NOT work the obliques! The obliques are rotary muscle meaning they twist the torso. So, if their fuction is to twist, then you need to apply resistance to their function, twisiting, not bending. Yes, you will 'feel' it in your obliques because you are stretching them, but you are NOT applying resistance to their fuction.
There, that's my answer. LOL
TweetI gotta go with compound movements in general. People bytch and whine about them being too hard so they stick to the more "comfortable" machines and what not. Then they come up to ya and ask why they aren't growing or gettin any stronger!
TweetSo very true....I am not a very big dude but I see these dudes at the gym on the hip abductor machine, then cruises over to the hip adductor then the seated curl machine....the whole time sitting on his arse watching the game on the 50 tv's in the gym. Too lazy to get the F up between his comfortable sets.
The only reason I have ANY size is due to compound movements lol
