Last Halloween I weighed 250 pounds. My bodyfat was about as low as it could get as I was in a BB show.

I've decided to bulk up and even though I lost a couple of weeks while recovering from a hernia operation, I have by todays morning weigh-in, hit 300 pounds.

That is I have gained 50 pounds since last November.

From what I can tell from the calipers, about 19-21 pounds of that have been muscle. About 15 pounds or so is water that I gained back right after the show. I think I have gained some more water since that time since I have started some 4-AD in the last couple of weeks. At any rate, my body fat is hovering just about 10%. You can still see my abs, but there is definitly some jelly accumulating down there.

I've been doing it by eating -at least- 20 calories/pound and 1.75 grams protien/pound. That is the base meal plan, 8 meals over the course of the day. Then I eat whatever I want in the mean time. Sometimes it is very hard work and instead of a "cheat day" on the weekends, I normally have a "don't stuff your face day" and it really feels good!

I have been training heavy with emphasis on negatives and in the last 3 weeks, I have started GVT 4 days a week. I work out with all dumbells and free weights and just do the basic movements. In the last 3 weeks, my incline dumbell presses have gone up by 30 pounds/dumbell for the 10x10 GVT for example.

The suppliements I use, as I have mentioned, I started 4-AD and 1-test transdermal in the last 2 1/2 weeks. I have 4 Uniliver liver pills with each meal and a multivitamin each morning. No creatine, I'm saving that for cutting. I suppliment with some zinc at night and some magnesium for some restful sleep. I'm also making sure I get at least 8 solid hours of sleep each night.

All in all, I'm pretty happy. I'm going to continue the bulking for another 4 weeks and at this rate I should be hitting 315-320. How much of all that I keep, I'll be interested to know. I'm going to start cutting for another show at the end of that bulking period. If I can come in to the next show 10-15 pounds heavier in May from October, I'll consider that a win.

Just passing this on - the basics work - eating like a horse and training until you can't stand up.
