TweetWelcome!
TweetHi people, new to the forum. I am 19 year old male weighing 160 lbs. Currently my workout routine is:-
Monday - Chest and triceps
Tuesday - Back and biceps
Wednesday - Shoulder and legs
Repeat
I have made nice gains with this routine in last one year but now i find it difficult to cover all exercises in time. I am thinking to train one muscle once a week. Will i be able to make gains with this new routine considering i was making nice gains with old routine?

TweetOne body part per week should be good! If its intense enough, once a week is usually enough
TweetYou can certainly make gains training each muscle once a week. If you're looking for size and strength, make sure you keep in your three big core movements... bench press, squats and deadlifts. If you're lifting heavy and keeping your intensity high, the extra rest might do you some good.
What are your goals and what do your actual workouts look like?
TweetAgreed with above. Once a week is probably okay but compound movements are the biggest thing for growth, at least for me. I recently switched mine up and now doing:
Chest/bi
Back/tri
Shoulders
Legs
Core everyday. By flipping bi and tri I found I've been able to work those groups harder than if I'm already burning them as ancillary muscles.
Good luck!
