TweetSo who's doing the Memorial Day Murph workout? For those who don't know this is the workout...
With a 20lb vest on, do the following...
1 mile run
100 pull-ups
200 pushups
300 squats
1 mile run
It's brutal but a great workout. If you do this, try for a time under 1 hour. Also post your time below if you do this!

Tweetyeah i am a big boy and that's a tad bit high on the reps for me haha. i probably could do the mile pretty quick but i would be crushed by everything else. i will support the murp and all who do it in his honor though

TweetI did a half murph 2 years ago. Almost killed me. I got the pull ups (I admit I used a 20# band for the last 1/3rd) and pushups done fairly well in sets of 10. The squats killed me. We have a taskmaster instructor that yells at you if you do not go at least a hair below parallel and will not let you count it. We did not have enough vests so for this one I had a 20# medicine ball I held to my chest. My arms and neck were burning so bad by 80. (sets of 20) I thought I was all good when a crossfit vet put his ball on his shoulder and held it with one hand. I tried this and it worked for a bit them I started to cramp up. anyway I did the workout, well half.
On the upside the run was really easy for me even though I did the squats right before. I run a lot.
