Tweetok baby1 after my extensive trial and error plus reading and studying lol. i think if you arent going to do your cardio fasted then the best method would be to do it post training. if you hit it before training it will zap your energy a bit and lower your glycogen before working the muscle. but if you wipe out your glycogen a bit with training and then hit the cardio it will help to pull a little more fat plus start up the recovery process a little faster. just doing it for most people would be the best option but for timing i stand by the above

Tweetabsolutely. it is flushing out your muscle post workout and speeding it up. good call on this approach for sure

TweetI do cardio before and after training. I'll run a mile and a half...train my body part of the day...then another mile and a half run after. Or if I'm Crossfit training or hiit training, then the whole workout is balls out cardio the entire time lol

TweetSince I have been doing this, I now look forward to my cardio after training

TweetI do cardio before. I have found when my body is hot from vigorous cardio I am FAR less likely to pull a muscle. I stretch and warm up before lifting but I do the same before cardio....before lifting too.
I do believe that if I do really hard cardio it effects my energy levels lifting. But I care more about my overall fitness than my muscle size. I only go hard with cardio 1X a week.
TweetAbsolutely post workout. I want my energy/glycogen to be 100% for my workout, if I did cardio prior to weights then Id be too depleted. Ive never done cardio prior unless its a walk on the treadmill to warm up
Tweetyeah man. if keeping size and strength are priority then cardio must come first thing in the am away from training or post. it's a great way to start the recovery process after training though
