Tweetthat's pretty freaking cool man. the protein thing has been completely disproven though
TweetLarry Scott was a successful bodybuilder in the 80s. He had an ad in a magazine where he would mentor people for a fee. I paid the fee asked for. I would get phone calls about once a week from him and he asked about my activity level and nutrition, sleep and my training. He modified everything or tweaked them
He gave me bits of knowledge and a couple of them has stuck. One is you can do everything right in the gym but it is mostly what you do the other 23 hours of the day.
Another is even though you can only use about 30 grams of protein at a time you have to factor in digestion rate and absorption rate.
Is this cool or what?

TweetYeah it has to be broken down to be used and that takes time.
I did the "Great Scott" thing in the early 80s. He even told me what to tell the doctor to get a script of dinabol (not spelled correctly)
I was on only 10 mg a day and exploded with size and strength
TweetMan that is super cool. Great memory.
TweetYeah Larry had me eating about 6,000 clean calories per day. That and training and dinabol got me strong a lot
TweetThat's awesome man! I actually got to chat with Dave Draper back and forth a few times many years ago. He used to have a newsletter that went out and you could contact him through that. Always seemed like a really down-to-earth super cool guy. It was great getting his perspective on things now that he's older versus back in his prime.
TweetThat is cool. Did he share some tips? He had huge legs
TweetI had a set of Larry Scott instructional VHS tapes. The preacher bench used to be called a "scott curl bench" . I think he invented it.
Tweetyeah he did it on the back side of the bench. i am pretty sure he did like a twisting curl as well or that was what he did on the back of the preacher. drawing a blank on it right now

Tweetyeah I remember it was "The Scott Curl"
I think it was a combo of bench curl and hammer curl
TweetI remember 30 years ago (omg) I had his biceps blaster. I loved it back then.
TweetThe 1st Mr Olympia. Larry Scott had a great body and crazy big arms!!!!
