      I have been closely watching my movements in the mirror. This is what I have noticed, I will use the bench press for example but ig for most all exercise in one way or another.
      When at the contracted state (bottom) The 1st half is using the muscle strictly or mostly. The elbow comes almost in an arc. But beyond the 1/2 way mark the arms comes into play.

      My question if my observations are correct, then partial reps from the contracted position taxes the intended muscle. So partial reps are better for muscle growth.

      right or wrong?

      Partial reps are a good way to fry your arms and take them further into the failure/pain zone. A combo of full and partials is good like doing 21s AKA Hawaiian curls

      Doing partial starting at the stretched position you also get more time under tension

      Yesterday I used partial reps making sure the working muscle was under tension all the time. WOW. It makes a difference for sure.

      I avoid tendonitis flares by not locking and maximizing tut. For me it increased muscle growth.
