I have seen people doing these for years and never felt the need to do them, until today.

I used a decline bench on a power rack. Got everything squared up and set where I liked it. Did a comedy routine getting into the seat (not on purpose)

I did about 4 sets of 15. No wonder people love them. I lowered the bar slow. Got a stretch at the bottom and top of each rep. When I got through I got so much a pump I thought my rib cage would burst.

I love them now. Is there an easy way to get in it without floundering around like a fish out of water?

my gym has a decline bench press so for me its one leg at a time, lift my crotch so it doesnt hit the sack buster handle in the middle, and tilt my head so i dont slam it on the bar. i dont like the blood rush to my noggin so it takes me a few secs to collect my bearings but then im g2g.

The bench they have is rather short in length. I like the bar to be about nipple or a little above. I have only about 2' of bench to scoot my long body under. I may try to approach from the other end to see if I am less clumsy

I really like doing them, but the blood rush to my head starts to get to me pretty quick.

if the angle is too steep it jacks up your shoulders bad. for me i will just put a couple plates under the end of a bench and go to town. that's the perfect angle for me. most of the normal setups are way to steep for my liking. i want to work chest not so much shoulders or trash them. then again the majority of the time that i do them it is with dbs

I really like doing decline press with DBs. Last gym had a great bench for this solo. This gym now without a partner im too damn awkward getting set up, unless I use irritatingly low weight.

I really think the decline bench press should be adjustable angel and i cant figure out why it isnt. Same with incline.

yep, that's why i do almost all of my work with adjustable benches with db in a power rack or on the smith machine. most gyms incline and decline are far to steep for normal people. they are better for doing ab work haha
