Tweethigh on the calf. having it down lower pulls on my knees and i cant get a good contraction at all. i move it around until i can get a full rom and proper contraction but most of the machines it is mid calf
TweetWhen doing leg curls, I've always had the pad across my achilles down by my heel. However, today I was at a different gym which had a different leg curl machine with the pad adjustment you have to screw to tighten. I didn't feel like messing with it, so I just left it where it was which happen to fall right in the middle of my calf much higher than I normally keep it. Wow! What a difference. I actually felt a lot more of a squeeze in my hamstrings with the pad higher up.
Where do you guys usually place the pad when doing leg curls?

TweetMy hamstrings were crazy SORE the past couple days. It's amazing how something as small as moving the pad up on your calves a few inches higher can make such a big difference lol.
