Tweeti use the cables and do upward angle flys. start a little lower than shoulder height and end above the head and squeeze.
hits em pretty good.
TweetI'm trying everything I can think of and it seems like nothing is getting my upper inner pecs to fire. I feel like it's getting noticeable because my outer sweep grows and looks thick and full, but my upper inner pecs just look flat.
I switched over to using more dumbbells doing incline presses and flies and it seems to get the area firing, but I always feel it more in my outer sweep and that's where the majority of my pump goes. Anyone have any good tips for training the upper inner pecs?

TweetDefinitely going to try that on my next chest day bro. I feel like my chest would be one of my strengths if my upper inner pecs looked more full and not so flat. I think I'm noticing a good difference with incline dumbbell flyes focusing on the squeeze at the top. At least so far that's what seems to be getting that area to fire the most.
TweetStay the course. Incline flies with DBs with a good squeeze helped mine. It is now my fav angle to do flies. I let my elbows bend at the bottom and straighten out (not locked) at the top for a good squeeze. I get a good pump and use heavier weight this way and my bows and shoulders don't hurt.
TweetWorst exercise ever for upper pecs: Bench to the neck in a smith machine
TweetThis is how I've been doing mine too. Gets a really good squeeze at the top. Sticking with these and incorporating the upward angle cable flys jipped mentioned, I should start seeing some good progress. Just got to get these upper pecs to pop out lol.
TweetImagine the torque on your shoulder joint from doing a bench press to your neck in the smith machine. Some dude at the gym was trying to build his upper pecs by doing them with heavy weight. He shredded his rotator cuff and had to get surgery. Thats why I call it the dumbest exercise ever for upper pecs
TweetOuch! Definitely gonna stay away from doing those lol. I hammered incline dumbell flies and jumped on the cables doing flies at an upward angle on my last chest day. Felt pretty good. Upper inner pecs feel a bit sore too.
