TweetAbs are made in the kitchen. Diet and cardio. All the training in the world doesn't matter if that's not in line. All I do for abs is 100 decline sit-ups a day. My diet and cardio are on point so I see my abs year round.
TweetI am doing ab work I think hard but do not see much improvement. I want to tighten abs a lot how do you guys do it.
I do planks, superman, bird dogs and the ab machine where the knees come up when you chunch. I do those until I feel the abs pull even relaxed, but still are not hard enough for me.

TweetIt's all diet but for a lot of guys getting abs to pop means diet to a point of muscle loss. Also a lot of our compounds keep water around our midsection so you really have to figure out what your goals are.
TweetAgree with above about diet and abs. Also keep in mind that doing heavy compound movements and training the abs heavy can sometimes make them thicker, which will cause your midsection to look thicker.
Tweetnot just heavy compound and weighted ab work makes them thicker. i worked with a pro a few years ago that added over 3in to my waist with 4 sets of 100 crunches and other high rep stuff. like i said they grew over 3in in about 6 months. biggest thing that hasnt been pointed out is that during the contraction, you need to exhale out all of your air and squeeze as hard as you can. that is the only real way to get a full contraction. always work the lower abs first and you should be good to go

TweetThanks
I am working on diet. I am wanting strong abs. The 6 pack thing looks good but not necessary in my case. I want strong abs and lean abs.
TweetI always heard that doing too much ab work will make the midsection grow bigger as guns pointed out. Abs will get bigger with intense training, just like any other muscle. Just some plain sit ups would do the trick
TweetSomething I think most people miss is expanding their rib cage. Pull over with a low butt help my abs.
