TweetRight now to put on size 4 days of intense weight training (back/chest, legs, shoulders/arms) and they keep rotating. Cardio is 4 days a week either spinning bike or HIIT.
TweetAs the title states how often do you train a week?
For gaining size do y'all prefer 3 day splits or 5 days a week?

TweetI usually get four days but I've been trying to get back to five days per week. I currently do chest/bis, back/traps, shoulders/tris and legs. Calves are done every other training day. The biggest thing is to eat for your training. The more you train the more you need to eat and that is the rub.
Tweet6 when I can.... I hate rest days. My rotation typically is chest/ biceps, back, shoulders/ tris, legs then repeat with a rest day thrown in somewhere.
TweetIv been doing a 3 day split mon/wed/fri
Chest/ tris, bi's/ shoulders, legs/back. But I'm wanting to switch it up so I'm just gathering some ideas and see what works best for me. Thanks for all the replies. I'v done the 5 days a week in the past and yes you def gotta eat more that way.
TweetI usually go 5 days. Take Saturday and Sunday off. Every once in awhile may take Wednesday off
TweetI def get big strength bursts when I inadvertently take a few days off in a row... I have no doubt 4 days a week would likely be better for gains but the fact of the matter is when I do t train I get moody and antsy. I need the stress relief haha
TweetRight now I train 4 days on, 1 day off. Old school split... Back / biceps, chest / triceps, shoulders, legs, day off, then repeat.
TweetI alternate between lifting heavy and cardio one week, Crossfit the next. Keeps me on my toes lol
Tweet6 day split on this cycle and most of my others. i just change up what parts i hit 2x per week every 12 wks. i also know my body well enough to back off if i am injured or not recovering. i also try to squeeze in at least 2 cardios and up to 4 per week as well with my training. looks like this right now:
legs
chest/delts/light tris maybe cardio
back/light bis maybe eccentric less cardio
legs maybe eccentric less cardio
chest/delts/light tris cardio
back/light bis cardio
off
repeat

TweetI was just going to post this thread. So i went from a very high volume regiment to low volume. Im on a lean bulker now, what rep range is best for muscle size versus strength?
