I have been diagnosed with "tennis elbow", aka outer elbow tendonitis. I have a wrist immobilizer to help prevent too large of movements from that end and a compression band to press on the point where the tendons attach to the elbow. Both of these have helped me reduce my use of aspirin quite a bit.

But now I have a dilemma. Other than Leg Day and Cardio, everything else I do involves bending my arms. Any ideas what I can do for chest day, arm day, shoulder day, and back day?

THeres another thread where we talked alot about tendonitis and how to help ease the pain, recovery solutions. I think Animal started the thread.

I have tennis elbow as well and im getting laser therapy on both arms starting next week. After 4-6 treatments the pain is totally gone.

Wanted to give an update. It is apparently NOT tendonitis - it has progressed to where my fingers are tingling all the time (like they fell asleep), but they are warm so there is adequate blood flow. I say my doctor and he did some touch tests with a little poker and said I most likely have Median Nerve Entrapment in my elbow. When I use my arm with my elbow bent, my fingers feel like they are on fire. I tried the nerve flossing exercises, but they only cause more pain. The videos telling how to do them said if you feel increased pain to stop and talk to your doctor because you are only doing more damage.

My doctor said it can actually cause finger muscle necrosis - YIKES!!!

I have an appointment with a sports medicine doctor to do some soft tissue therapy, specifically ACT (Active Release Techniques), to see if he can break my nerves free without surgery. They have an 80% success rate so I am hip to that! I also have an EMG (Electromyogram) scheduled for mid March and I really do not to wait that long for "traditional" medicine to tell me what my doctor and I already know so we can schedule ANOTHER appointment to do something about it.
