When someone says they are training does it differ much when someone says they are lifting weights or going to the gym?
I use the terms to mean the same thing some times.
But to me when you say training you have a goal in mind.
Lifting weights or going to the gym can mean the same or it is just simply exercising without clear goals in mind.

      You guys thoughts.

never thought of it much but I agree with your point on training vs going to the gym. now that I think about it most of the guys I know who really train always say train I don't think I have ever hear any of them say "I just gonna hit the gym" .

Absolutely! Training is going in every day with a clear plan. Lifting weights is putting the time in at the gym, but remaining the same day after day, month in and out. I see ppl I've worked out with for years and physically they never change. Training is striving to achieve more. I train....like a beast
