TweetNot sure if I posted this in the right section. Heres me working the bag nothing special. Gonna get some sparring videos uploaded asap I'm in the middle of boxing gym transition.
TweetI boxed for a while and am starting BJJ soon and hopefully tae kwon do or another similar discipline...I love fighting, organized that is lol.....
You have a nice straight brother...a solid right like that really stings like a mofo lol...Glad you are here bro and great to see you posting up
There are quite a few fighters on here, you are in the right place!
TweetThanks a lot man! Yeah my straight I feel is my best punch.its definitely the punch I've caused most damage with.
Bjj is awesome dude!! I took a class a little while ago and I learned a whole new respect for the fight game from it lol. I think the first time my instructor rolled with me I was the most sore I've ever been in my life the next day haha
So glad this is a fight friendly board man I've been waiting for a forum like this that covers all forms of fitness and includes combat sports! I've found my new home
TweetGlad to have you with us bro! I was into strictly boxing golden gloves til about ten years ago I started mma. The boxing was a great start for me but bjj opened my eyes to a whole new world. You should definitely consider taking more classes. It wasn't a workout for me but the techniques and strategy that until bjj I was just ignorant to. Ten years in and love it even more that ever.
Tweeti usually meet up with some guys and spar once a week or some kinda conditioning. nothing too serious. maybe 8 to 12 rds at 1:30 on and 45 seconds off. like you said... no better cardio than doing battle with some friends lol. i tore both tendons on my right bicep about 3 yrs ago throwing a hook and had to have surgery but i still enjoy the sport. weight lifting is my life though and the boxing is just a hobby. i can't afford injures that will affect me in the gym but i still have fun with it. nice to have you here bro
everything said and done here is for entertainment purposes only. i don't even really workout i just pretend like i do so i can have big friends
TweetYeah I sure would like to. Those guys I was working with formed their own gym and turned it into a mma stable and have about 12 fighters with em. Doing pretty good in the local circuit. I'd go back but I moved cities and its just too far so I'm going to either join team no excuse that's closer to me or join this half PAL boxing half mma gym right down the street here in the next couple weeks. Mma is huge out here believe it or not. I live in idaho. By boise. Theres mma clubs everywhere lol
Last year I went to scott jorgensens from the ufc's gym in boise. Combat fitness. I met him an talked to him a few times a really humble friendly guy. His gym is awesome but expensive lol they have a lot of good fighters coming out of there too. Anyway I definitely wanna get some more jits in. I picked up a little muay thai too. I have a lot of respect for what mma guys do. To be that versatile ain't easy.
TweetThanks again brother. Yeah fighting is becoming just a secondary hobby to me too. I just turned 31 and its a young man's sport. I already did enough competing in it when I was young. But at this age there's not very much farther I can go with it maybe get like 1 or 2 last fights then just stick to sparring the young bucks. That's kinda why my love for lifting weights is kinda shifting over lol but I will always wanna be involved in boxing like maybe help be a trainer or somethin. Maybe my son will take to it and I can train him who knows. It is fun tho for sure.
TweetMy neighbors got a heavy bag, I go over there and hit it and spar with him some. I sure rather hit a bag for cardio than get on a treadmill.
