TweetI tend to eat low carb when traveling as my activity will be down. Also most hotels have a fitness center with a few treadmills and bike, if your looking to weight train its best to use that time to recover and take a week off.
TweetCurious to know how most of you deal with your health, fitness, diet, etc when for instance you're on vacation and have no access to the gym or your normal routine. Since I'm assuming the majority of the people on this board are diehard bodybuilders, do you just try to watch what you eat and take a break from the gym or do you resort to things like calisthenics and running and sacrifice a little bit of muscle to maintain general health? Me personally, I know my diet is going to slip on vacation, I have to maintain fitness for my work, and genetically I tend to bloat up and get soft pretty quickly and easily so I do things like running, high rep push up workouts, burpees, etc. etc.

TweetI do incline push ups or have someone sit on my shoulders while i do pushups. Rep out a whole lot of pullups and ab work.
TweetI always do a little something and i let my environment dictate. When I go camping I tend to hike/run a lot, when i travel to a hotel I take advantage of the fitness center if available. If there isnt a fitness center available, (for instance when I went to DisneyLand a couple years ago) i brought a couple sets of dumbbells and did some make shift work outs. i eat sensible, but still allow myself some room to indulge a little bit since after all it is vacation and I don't compete for a living.
TweetYup sounds just like me spray.
TweetThis is me 100% too bro.
I love tracking down new places to train when I travel.
Once I was in Jamaica and this resort I stayed at had this big gym, I go in there and most of the shit was broken/no cables/Etc...I started jerry rigging everything and had some awesome workouts!
TweetI travel alot and I usually find a gym close by...for example, LA Fitness, for all the times it pisses me off, does have many locations...I do try to take it easier than if I am at home though; however, I will still train a little bit...I still eat about the same because, as FIST stated, I can find healthy meals wherever I go...
I actually just try to have a lot of sex and it keeps me pretty lean on vacation lol
