This last time I had a tear in the tendon that holds down the 2 bicep tendons. So I am wondering about going medium weight and lots of reps instead of heavy weight low reps. I think this will cut down on my injuries.
OK is a waste of test e if I train this way? What kind of results should I expect?

IMO you have to first be able to train. Sounds like you are feeling a bit beat up. So, YES, I say lighten up the weight and train in a higher rep range.

I have no idea what your goals are and how much testE you are running. You could just cruise and get healthy. Dont let the drug give your mind a false scene of strength and get too heavy in your weights. You will find plenty of guys making gains in the high rep ranges these days. Your nutrition and recover play a big role.

If you are injured you damn well for sure wont make gains. Slowly get back into things. Get healthy and then push a bit more.
      best of luck,
      GC

High reps wi;; give you good results. Just be careful when your going high reps you keep pushing because the weight is light and sometimes get sloppy at the end and that can cause injury also.

Injuries suck exspecially when in mid-cycle workouts. there are some movements i dont do,like skull crushers, put's TOO Much strain in my tri's. if you can workout using less weight thats good because you still working your muscles, try other forms of movements that dont cause your tendon to flair up.good luck bro.

How long ago was this? Are you recovered yet? How did you injure yourself?

It was about a month ago and I really didn't know until I went to a massage therapist and he said the bicep tendon are not in the glenoid notch. An mri later I had tears in tendon but not separated and was imflammed. At the time I had muscle weakness and loss of fine motor skills. Fast forward to today, I have been resting the tendon and doing aerobics so I can get some work done.
My massage therapist insisted that I do more pulling exercises since in the real world consist of pushing, seems I had an imbalance. I am presently on a heavy cruise of test e @ 500 per week. I feel good at this amount.
When released to exercise I am going to correct the imbalance and train med/ light weight and high reps using strict form an contracting the muscle at top and bottom of each movement.
My goals is to maintain the muscle I have and slowly gain quality muscle over time. Since I aint no spring chicken any more at 56 I need to be more conscious that tendons and ligaments are much dryer and more brittle that when younger and train smarter for my age

Well said a lot of us have imbalances we don't notice and need the help of someone else to tell so we can be aware and repair this before something like this happens and we get huurt. Another thing is yoga and strongman incorporated in your routine may help you with imbalances and to strengthen tendons and ligaments we can lift and our muscles will strengthen at a much greater rate than out tendons and ligaments so much more functional lifts will help

The massage therapist I got now is very knowledgeable. He used to be a physical therapist and switched professions. He never said why and I never asked. Him being well versed in kinesology as well as anatomy and physiology he was able to find the injury before it became one more serious in nature. I will seriously consider yoga as you suggested

You need to go see a Sports medicine Ortho. Try to find one who specializes in upper extremities.
