      So me and my partner did a high rep day on legs today just to switch things up and try to get past some nagging injuries without missing a workout. We did 7 total sets not including warmups at 30 reps each. I don't know if he felt the same, but I felt like my heart was going to explode. I feel like in the last year my cardiovascular health has declined. Even though I feel that I get plenty of cardio, I don't feel like I get my heart rate high enough to achieve optimal cardiovascular health. I fear that it may jeopardize my gains if I increase the intensity of my cardio. Am I just paranoid or is there an effective way to keep your lungs while still making effective gains? I am 33, 6'1'', and about 230 @ about 14% BF.

      Sounds like you got a good workout in for your heart? there has to be a way you can include this kind of cardio without sacrificing your hard earned muscle. Maybe a couple of sessions HIIT per week? Let's see what the others think.

      I drink and smoke so I probably don't have the best advice. But I will say that twice a year or so I switch to fast circuits mostly to give my joints a break from the heavy lifting. By the end of the month my thirty minute circuit goes to 45min, and I feel fantastic. I say do something, do a lot of things, and just see how it affects your gains.

      Just had my second intense leg workout yesterday. I didn't make a connection until just now. I just started taking Jack3d again after taking about 3 months off. Think the DMAA and caffeine had my heart racing. Yesterday my heart was racing, but not nearly as bad. I could breath at least. Lol!! Baby I do think that HIIT is probably a good idea at least once a week. This may be the solution to lingering issues without skipping workouts. Drop the weight, keep the reps high, and take little rest. Legs feel great this morning.
