Research suggests that general anesthesia poses long-term challenges with brain health, especially in children and the elderly. Building brain resiliency is essential.

That was very interesting. geez, even a one time dose of anesthesia can mess up your whole life. Makes me seriously think twice about getting these ortho surgeries done. Is it worth it? Then you think of other risks like what happened to Andy Hamman after elbow surgery, died from a blood clot. Im trying hard to avoid dual shoulder surgeries. Anesthesia sounds like bad news. Wonder how much local anesthesia like dentists messes you up. Probably can jack up your hippocampus for good. You kinda just get used to the pain and live with it and hope it doesnt get any worse and keep putting off surgeries.

man when i had my guts and colon checks done, they used propovol(sp) the one that killed micheal jackson to sedate me. i am scary sensitive to pretty much any kind of uppers or downers and i told them as much. the doc was like meh, this stuff is not to harsh and you will be good to go. well hell it actually was the first one that didnt wreck me. i woke up and was good as new with no issues at all. all the other times they put me down, it would last for days and days. same thing with sleeping meds. i am with you though if i can not have to do it then i am not going to do so. nothing good can come from those meds
