      Thumbs up

Ring for my girlfriend... I dont think I would sell my bike for that!!

The 600 is a great bike for a new rider.
Like any older 600s, after you get used to them you will want more..
I would think the speed would be comparable to the Magna you mentioned
Also the 600 is noticeably smaller than the 900 or 1000..

They are very popular and I sure the resale would be there for you.

Overall the 600 is a very good bike.

do you think i would out grow the 600 pretty quickly... Im guessing I would. I was talking to one of the 900 owners and he seemed to think so as well... he said his wife had to upgrade to the 900. Although, i could pick up the 600 for a little cheaper..... decisions !!

Now that someone else agrees.. yes the 600 is to small. I dont know your weight but if your like me it will play a big role in the performance of the bike. 100 lbs makes a lot of difference.
900 or 1000 is the way to go.. The eliminator has a cult following so the prices are high for the year but the resale value is even or more than you will pay.

A cheaper alternative is the Yamaha Vmax.. Not as fast but very cool. I dont like the v motor but you were looking at those before.

      i weigh about 200 lb so .....

the only things im seeing is that the 900's have really high milage compared to the 600 because of the 10 year difference. I think i like the body on the 600 a little better, but I dont want to buy one that will be really slow to me in 5 months.

Ill check out the VMax as well. I just wish i could find one locally so I could get a personal look at it before making a purchase, as well as not have to pay to ship it.

thanks for all the info. any other input.

As far as your price range goes - I think that VMax on ebay there was pretty sweet. Nice paint and a lot of mods.

As far as engines go - My buddys all drive 600's and wheelie them all day long!

I found my bike local.... awesome deal

1999 yamaha V-Star 1100 Custom for $4600 (7440 miles) Drag handle bars. he put on a more sporty seat. Custom paint, but will probably change the paint a little, it has a kinda gay looking skull on it. They said the pipes on it are extremely loud. It also seems to be slightly lowered.

how does that sound. my pops seemed to think its a good deal.
