anybody have a boat, any kind fishing runabout or jet? I love my toys and there is nothing like cruising at 70 MPH across the water. I have a 19' champion hull with a 2.5 merc on the back. the fastest I have ever been is 75mph with 3 deep cell batteries and 30 gallons of fuel. not bad for a bass boat. I have 300 usable rpm left but it just won't go any faster I have a 27" tempest prop I am going to have tricked out by mcgill prop hopefully I can get 78mph with a good holeshot. I want a donzai too but cant afford it with all my other stuff.

A old 17' bostonwhaler with a 90hp yamaha outboard. Use it for fishing and carbing. Sometimes for wakeboarding.

a piece of crap 1963 14 ft Valco aluminum with a 9.9 merc. Used for fishing only (obviously). It is nice to not have to worry about running it up on shore when I want though.

Looks like I will finally be able to step up this year to something that can pull a skier - probably keep the Valco though - it goes many places a nicer boat can't

      Default Bass Boat

My Father runs a 20' Champion with a 250HP Merc, I run a 20' BassCat Pantera 2 with a 250. My dinger is a 1982 Charger 17'6"(Same Hull Design as a Champion) with a 150. This boat in its hayday would leave a ranger in rough water like it was sittin still. My BassCat rides like a cadillac. Dads champion rides the same....Nice deep hull.

      Dont laugh.

A 1978 Chris Craft ski boat. From the factory it had a 350 chevy and the whole tow hook thing. My family is into old wooden boats and this is as close as we ever got to a 'new' boat. I love the old thing now, so many memories...

I just got rid of my jet-ski(stand-up) And will replace it with a superjet or probably two this year. I just cant do the whole sit down jet ski thing, they are so boring.

those are two bad ass boats. My boat rides good for a liitle boat but would not come close to a cadillac. I like having that 200 on the back of a small boat it comes out of the hole like a bullet.

I agree, before I had the Pantera2, I fished tournaments with the Charger, and id beat out bigger Rangers, Skeeters, and the like with shallow holes becuase the owners didnt have enuff balls to drop the hammer in rough water and id pass them. I love having a deeper hull. Champion in my opinion makes the best bass boat. Nothing compares to those boats. Ive been in 4 foot swells in august and would pick that champion over any ranger, skeeter, basscat, or any other bass boat for that matter

Also bro, wax your hull with high gloss wax, youll get some extra MPH on top....Did that once and i wasted an 19' Astra with a 225 with my 82 Charger w/150 Suzuki Super Six. I hate that boat but i freakin love that suzuk motor.......helps that boat is only 17'6".

I thought about waxing the pad but it is so much work. the other thing I like about champions is they handle like they are on rails and don't skip like my old skeeter 190zx which was a bigger boat and had 50 horse less. it was a 55-60 mph boat. my uncle owns a champion skeeter dealership and I got my boats for next to nothing.
