On days when you are scheduled to rest you may want to do some simple stretching exercises or a beginner level yoga class.

For those who are at an intermediate level your workout routine should include exercises designed to help you reach your goals. For instance, if you would like to lose weight you may want to include between twenty and sixty minutes of cardio five times a week. You will also need to make sure that you are balancing your cardio workouts with strength training exercises as well. By designing a well-rounded workout plan your body will be allowed to gain strength in all areas. At an intermediate level you can do both cardio and weight training exercises on the same day, provided that they are done in a balanced way. It doesn’t matter what you do first so you are able to mix things up and keep them fresh. Trying different combinations will help you find one that works best for you and gives you the best results.

If you’re at an advanced fitness level you can split your exercise routine up even more and focus your attention on each specific muscle group. You may also want to increase the amount of cardio included in your workout routine and may even include interval training to burn more calories and increase your endurance levels. There are many different ways in which your workout plan can be personalized for your specific goals. Following a workout plan will make your workout more beneficial and productive and you will see better results by following it.
