Vista Print- the end for print shops?

TweetA while back, I go to this locally owned print shop. I order 2,000 business cards, front and back in color. I cant remember how much they were, but it was way too much money. But I needed the cards, so I said OK.Well, while I am there placing my order, the owner of the print shop lets it slip and he says "Oh, we use Vista Print now for everything because it is so much cheaper than the cost to print it ourselves"...LOL...TMI!!!...he spilled the beans.lol...The dude was ***ing everything online cheap and marking the price way up. Here I was trying to support a local business.
Needless to say, since he told me that, we no longer use any local print shop and all we use now is Vista Print...LOL...We are ordering another 2,000 cards thru Vista Print for more than half off what that guy was charging me for the exact same thing...

TweetJust ordered 2500 business cards for less than $100. Thats ridiculously cheap. That dude at the print shop wanted over $300 for that many cards, and he was getting them from Vista Print. I figured that many cards should last me till the Mayan calender end of the world scenario.

I know, crazy huh. I should have ordered 5,000. Haha, reminds me of my early days in business, I would pay kids to take my business cards to football games, and when the team scored a touchdown, throw my cards into the air and let them fall from the sky like confetti...LOL
