According to the September ’11 Reader’s Digest, “People who ate more soluble fiber over a five-year period gained less bellyfat—the most dangerous fat for health.”

You can get more soluble fiber by eating more beans and oats. Fruit has it too, but go for low-glycemc-index varieties, like apples.
