TweetRest is best! Try a foam roller or get some deep tissue, or trigger point massage done.
TweetMy lower back has been killing me for a couple of weeks now. When it first got bad i took a week off of lifting and that really didnt help much. My back doesnt hurt when im doin the lifting but right after im done with a set it hurts just to stand or sit its not a sharp pain more of a tightness pain. so i have been doin alot of stretching and that only gives me temp relief. I started my cycle about two weeks before the pain started and put on a good 15lbs in that time do u guys think the extra weight is the reason for the pain? if not what tips do u guys have to try and help?

TweetHave you foam rolled your quads and hamstrings? If you can loosen those up, your back may feel better too.

TweetCould it be lower back pumps from your cycle? Sometimes anabolics can do that also. I have had the same problem before.
Tweeti had the same prob and it was due from GH and i was doing high ius/ not sure if u are taking gh or what not but if not, def ice and DO NOT HEAT IT.
u need to stretch your hams and quads as well.
start doing 4 sets of hyper extension with body weight for 15 reps nice and slow, twice a week.
only way to get your lower back stronger.
TweetStretching is a must that most people fail to do!

Tweeti take 3 ius a day of gh but only on days i workout which is 6 days a week. i was doin 2 then i was told that i should bump to 3 cause i am a bigger guy
Tweethonestly could be a number of things...trial and error, I get most of my back pain from poor alignment and sleeping position issues...
Tweetlast thursday i pulled a lower back muscle playing racquetball. didn't realize it at the time but that night and the next three days i had a hard time getting around. The muscle swelled and was hitting a nerve when i pivoted certain ways. When the nerve was hit, my legs just gave out. Sucked! didn't go to the gym for 5 days. The only way this felt better was with a heating pad. Brought the pad to the office and used it all day.
Did you try a heat pad?

TweetIf you know your out of alignment go to a chiropractor and put back inplace. That's what I would do first.
Tweeti get lower back pain when my hamstrings get tight. i started a stretching and it helped. also try lying on your stomach leave your hips on the ground and lift up like a pushup position. it will bend your lumbar back and hold it for 30 seconds and again a few times a day after stretching the hammies. it helps align the secrum with the lumbar area which helps the whole back
if there is sharp pain DO NOT CONTINUE
