Has anyone ever purchased a jersey from these places?

Friends of mine have doen it several times with luck. The Jerseys are pretty decent with the sewn on numbers, patches, and names. However, with the close eye, can tell them apart from the real ones. Pretty cheap at $20 per jersey.

Here's the issue morally to consider here though (and I'm not telling you not to buy it because I don't know that given the opportunity I wouldn't):

A good majority of counterfient products such as pro sport team jerseys, purses, DVD movies, CD music, video games, and well pretty much you name it counterfient wise ALL trace back to terrorist cells some way or another.

I know in AZ those products are being sold come up through Mexico then make their way through the US for domestic shipping here in our country...I could tell you more but altimately you have to decide if knowing a few bucks you spend may or may not help some crazy islamic extremists run a plane into a building?

Excellent point. What else happens is the "real" items take a hit on sales and as such, may cost more to the average consumer

Here is my take on this.

Reebok has the jerseys they sell to us made in the cheapest Country they can find, which is currently Vietnam. They will also go to Hondorus, Guatemala, and Korea.

We have just started ordering them to sell. We get them for $17.90 from a company in China. The regular Game Day jerseys that we buy, which are the Authentic ones on the NFL and Teams Websites, have the Made in Vietnam tags inside them.

Some of the other jerseys, like the camouflage ones and black ones have Made in Korea inside them. As I said, these Countries also make Reebok's merchandise.

Now after many days/weeks of researching online, I can tell you that the Game Day Authentic jerseys you buy from Reebok, whether you buy them from your Teams Site or the NFL Site, they run about $250.00 and are the same type, everything sewn on and embroidered.

So the mark up from Rebook is horrendous as they pay around $15 bucks or less from these overseas companies. Rip off big time for us.

Since the ones we order are counterfeit, you really have to know what to look for to tell the difference. The company we buy from do great work making them.

Now the real deal jerseys you see the players wear every Sunday are custom made for those players and are made in the U.S.A. in Wisconsin. They are lighter material and the sewn on numbers are not as stiff.

The ONLY way you are getting one of those is from the actual player or Mean Joe Green if you trade him a Coke. I would not trust anyone selling a players jersey unless proof of paper work show it was theirs.

Another thing to consider is, if you buy one of those $250.00 jerseys, you need to have it signed and framed as that is a lot of money to wear around and mess up.

Everyone is more than happy to pay our price of $50 bucks each to wear around and as I said, very hard to tell the difference and the average person cannot not.

I personally have to problem buying and selling counterfeit jerseys as Reebok is plain ripping off everyone at their prices.

One of my bros sells those jerseys. I can find out where he gets his.

He showed them to me, quality looks okay as far as stitching and materials. Really no better/worse than other clothing. He sells them for about $50, i think he pays around 25-30 for them.

Im not a fan of supporting grey market goods but, licensed shit is a rip off. I don't feel bad for them losing revenues, afterall they have no shame in selling a $200 jersey.

      Cheap china Jerseys
I believe the terrorist connection with counterfeit goods is not entirely true. though I guess it can be on some level.

It seems to be a story put out there a few years ago by legit companies, ie: Reebok, to try and slow the demand for the counterfeit goods.

Think about it and it makes sense. Counterfeiting products is a multi-billion dollar industry. Plus the sales tax lost to the City's and States.

So why not fuel a story about how buying counterfeit goods supplies terrorists? Make sense to me.

Remember when Middle Eastern folks first started opening convenient stores? How the stories started flying around that if you purchased gas from them, they were sending that money back to their terrorist relatives? Stories really got heated when someone would walk into the store and a worker would be on the phone talking in his native language. All of a sudden, they were talking to other terrorists because they were speaking in their language and no one understood them.

Funny thing is, most if not all of them were either Pakistani or Indian. But those stories flew around about those owners.

So now the legit companies like Reebok, Gucci and others found a way to use scare tactics on the sheep to try and slow the Black Market down some. Though it is as strong as ever due to folks simply not wanting to pay the high prices they sell their goods for.

Funny thing is, the Black Market items are being made in the same Countries that these legit companies use, AND with the same labor force, sometimes child labor. They have all moved out of the United States and are continually searching the World for the cheapest labor possible to manufacture their products.

A good example is these jerseys. If I can buy one for $17.90 and it looks just as good as theirs in quality terms, plus it comes from the same Country Reebok has theirs made at, then just imagine how much they pay for theirs.

I'm still thinking about $10.00 a jersey through a contract. Then if so, their mark up is terrible with them selling the same jersey at about $250.00.

The same story can be said about any source one here uses overseas. When you send money overseas for your gear, you have no idea who receives it and what they do with it. I'm sure if one Googles it, one could find a story on steroids and how buying them fuels terrorists.

So does it make sense that these Companies are using the "funding terrorists" campaigns as market plays to slow down counterfeit buying?

Here are some pics of the two latest jerseys we got in.

These are all very good and valid points. Thanks for sharing.

I just can't come to terms in paying $250+ for an authentic Jersey that I would want to wear and possibly damage in use. So an authentic replica may be the way to go. Problem though is where to buy from as some of my buddies had gotton ripped off oversear.

90% of all the fake stuff comes from china, I am not so sure they have direct connections with the Taliban or other terrorist groups. I agree, that's probably a marketing ploy scare tactic.

anything baught or sold COULD be, in some way supporting some terrorist...i'd rather abrove more funding for tracking down terrorist activities than sweat the jersey i saved 200 bucks on. shyt....some of the stuff done in our community could very well be supporting some radical at some level!!! just the world we live in....
