TweetFinally we have a principled candidate who has stuck to the Constitution his entire career but that's not good enough for some people because he wants to stop the wars. I'm confused on what would be the ideal candidate. If someone is a strict Constitutionalist and believes in the founding principles of our country then they have to be against foreign entanglements per the Declaration of Independence. Thus, it seems those who are unhappy with the current candidates still don't want a principled Constitutionalist, but instead someone who is pro war and nation building and perhaps supports the Constitution when it is convenient. It seems to me we are headed down a dangerous path to destruction and an eventual police/military state and passing up on the chance to elect someone who has the record to prove their integrity and principles, as well as being intelligent enough on economics to get the country turned back around. Cutting one trillion dollars from the deficit is the best idea yet, and the only one that would have a chance at getting our fiscal mess back in order. If people don't wake up and realize how serious our financial troubles are we won't be able to prevent a real financial disaster. Fiat currencies have a 40 to 50 year average life span, and ours is at 40 years now. More than 3,800 currencies in history have gone bust through inflation or hyperinflation, thus I would like to know why so many seem to think the dollar is immune. I believe economics is more important than anything else our country faces. We need to get back to sound money and balanced budgets. These 5 and 10 year plans do nothing but kick the can down the road for someone else to worry about. If you're going to fix the problem it has to be done in the short term. Just my 2 cents.
