Mauro Spinardi (275) competed at the GPA World Powerlifting and Bench Press Championships in Atlanta, Ga. He broke Jon Cole's long standing 1972 AAU squat record (with wraps) of 869lbs with a successful squat of 870.8lbs. He also benched 485lbs and deadlifted 751.7lbs. Mauro's total for the day was 2107.5lbs.
