Tweetpro: looks cool
cons: bad mpg, very hard on the transmission, depending on how tall truck becomes less functional.
I've had lifted trucks before and they're cool but usually totally impractical.
TweetSo I am looking around at different vehicles since we paid my wife's car off. It's getting close to time for me to find a truck. I like a factory height truck with some all terrain tires on it. But I also like the lifted look with all terrains on there. What are the pros and cons of each in your opinions? This would be on a crew cab 4x4....Ford or Chevy. It would also be on a gas burner too. I just don't do enough towing to justify the expense of a diesel.

TweetThat's pretty much what I was thinking as well. Usually a gear change helps the tranny but hurts the mpg. I'll probably just stick with stock height and all terrains.
