TweetNow I can see how an owl can swoop down and carry off a dog or a cat.
I hit an owl one time on the hiway. The impact was so loud I thought I hit a deer. I pulled over and the front end of my Yukon was smashed in along with a busted headlight. The grill was embedded with owl feathers.
I have seen an owl sitting on top of a utility pole behind my house a few times. He sat there staring at me. I swear to God that was the most enormous bird I have ever seen.
