Brock Lesnar actually had surgery yesterday. They removed about 12 inches of his colon, repaired it, he feels great. He said he’s a little sore, but the operation was a huge success. We’re hoping he can be back by the first of the year,”

UFC president Dana White reveals that former heavyweight champ and UFC superstar, Brock Lesnar has gone under the knife to repair his issues that forced his withdrawal from the UFC 131 main event against Junior Dos Santos.

After a bout with diverticulitis that forced him out of action for nearly a year, Lesnar returned to action in 2010 in a bout against Shane Carwin at UFC 116. While it was a hard fought fight, Lesnar was able to secure a second round submission victory and retain his title.

Later that year, he faced Cain Velasquez in a one sided beat down and lost his title.

With a pending match up for a number one contender spot against Junior dos Santos, Lesnar again fell ill and revealed that the disease has never left his body and has affected every training camp and performance since being diagnosed with the condition. It was during this announcement that he cleared the air and revealed that surgery may be the only way to get him back to 100% health.

That surgery was done Friday afternoon and it appears it was a success. Good luck and speedy recovery to the UFC's biggest star.
