TweetHey you guys I been stricken with first bronchaitis, then pnemonia and now mono- I been off work for a month, I been using two kinds of inhalers, prednisone, first zpaks now cipro - everytime I feel better BAM I wake up and get sick again. I do do a very very light work out because no matter what I dont take more than a 2 week lay off every 6 months from training, but man this sucks. I mean I work two jobs and train in my own way for hours daily and have done so for 40 years. I use the principles of periodization for restiing and rejuvinateing myself. Anyone get this crap before? Sucks!!

TweetI had mono and a severe case of it. You have to be careful if the spleen is enlarged. Mine was very enlarged and I could do NOTHING at all! I missed a month of school and it took months to feel better. Rest, rest, rest cause that is what you need and if you have mono, that is usually all you want to do anyway. Get better!

TweetSounds like you're worse off than I was a month ago. I started out with a cold, which I usually have for no more than 2 days. But this bastard lasted 2 weeks. My gf suggested that I see my doctor, who learned that I had lung infections. I would be in pain everytime I'd sneeze, cough, or vomit (often caused if I try to eat too much or too fast). The doctor gave me prednizones and a pain killer and a week later, I felt a shitload better.

TweetMono is viral so I don't think anything but time and rest will help. Do all you can to try and beef up your immune sytem. Did they examine you to see if your spleen was enlarged?

Well they did complete work up so my white cell count was a bit high but all else seems ok. The whole thing with my lungs they are dry but Im wheezing at least I can breathe now
