TweetVery good deal. Most people love Glocks so I'm sure you'll be plenty satisfied.
TweetI got a new toy today! There was a gun show close by that I decided to check out. I picked up a new 9mm Glock model 17 for just under $400. That is a bad ass deal for this gun. It is one of the most popular guns for law enforcement. I already ordered a green laser sight for it. I bought it on Friday so I can pick it up Sunday night because of the waiting period. I am super excited about this gun. It comes with 2 -17 round mags. I have been reading a lot about it online. The more I read the more I get excited about it! This is one of the most reliable guns that you can buy. That is why most cops use it for their service pistol.Glock 17.jpg

TweetI HAVE ONE OF THOSE AND THE GLOCK 19...THE 17 IS THEMOST ACCURATE PISTOL RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! OUR COPS DOWN HERE USE THE GLOCK 40 CALIBER THOUGH...GREAT GUN! YOU WILL LOVE IT
Tweeti had the 10mm and the .40 cal they are fine guns with lots of aftermarket parts to make a great gun even better.
$400 is a bargain
Tweet$400 is a great deal! Congrats on a hell of a deal and a great gun! I have the G19. It is, by far, the most realiable, accurate, and down right durable pistol I've ever looked at. You can not get a better pistol, period.
There are Glock haters, because of the Glock "fanboys" that know nothing about guns other than their beloved Glocks, but...fact is, Gaston Glock engineered a combat masterpiece sidearm. There is not another make/model/brand that can compete with the Glock. That pistol will fire wet, dry, dirty, underwate, you name it. That's why, if you watch the show about Florida Wildlife Law-enforcement. They tote Glocks. The S.O.G. guys that have to hop off the boat into salt water must have guns that will operate after being submerged in saltwater. Look what they have on their hip.
Hell of a pistol for the money. Hell of a pistol for any money. I used to avoid the Glock brand simply because of the fan-base that knows shit about guns except for their little Glocks. I'm glad I got passed that though, because I was avoiding what I had been looking for, in a pistol, for years. And being it is a "soul-less plastic pistol" that you can replace easily. Unlike an anniversary Colt 1911, Browning Hi-Power, etc...It actually enables you to fight more effectively. Even pull more effectively. Because you don't have that care and concern that comes with the "gun-safe queens" that are not so...disposable, if you will. (most aren't heartbroken over a scarred, or even lost, Glcok.) Just a tool. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Excellent choice! Excellent caliber. You'll be more than satisfied. The 9mm of today is not the 9mm of WWII. Or even 10-20yrs ago. You can shoot 9mm rounds that pack the energy of a .45auto, but you have more than twice the capacity. One of my top priorities in a SD DCC piece.
I've noticed ya never want to even suggest a Glock online because of the haters and pistol eliteist. But those that keep up with the side-arm mags, and have read of the 277,000+ logged round count of a Gen1 G17 that's been subjected to, not only "torture" testing, but a 250,000+rds without cleaning.
A dependable pistol you have indeed.

TweetI just picked up the new toy from the dealer today. I can't wait to take it to the range. I am going out of town for work tomorrow and will be back in 10 days. By the time I get back the green laser sight I ordered for it will be here and I can try them both out. I can't wait!
Tweetwhich Glock still produces the Gen3's so it can be a brand new Generation 3 like I bought a while back.
People have had some feed problems with the Gen 4 9mm, but all it takes is a recoil spring replacement that Glock will send you after a phone call. The recoil spring in the new Gen4 was a bit stout for the 9mm. If I'm not mistaking, Glock has solved that problem a couple months ago. It would just be a matter of when your Gen4 came off the production line. And if it even has any feeding issues.
It's one of those, why fix it if it's not broken, things.
TweetThis will be my next gun. Here in NJ, i first need to get a pistol permit
