It happens once in a while. At night. Lying in bed. Last night it was like bile or something coming up and making me choke on it. I couldn't sleep.I finally took some Tums Extra and it stopped...wonder if it is stress induced? It burns the living shit out of my throat and chest. I dont have any stomach pain or anything. Just horrible reflux.

Zone, listen to me pally. Dead serious here. I used to have the worst Acid reflux known to man. Horrible.
I started taking 1 shot glass full of apple cider vinegar a day. I did it for about 2 weeks, and then started taking it like once a week. In 3 years, I haven't had one bout of acid reflux. Check it out:

be sure it's organic, infiltered with the "mother" (haze) and a ph of 5-7

I use Bragg and get it in the organic food section of Shop Rite. check it out

I dont know much about ACV, But this Bragg brand sounds good. I think I need the Mother in it. Or is the regular store brand good enough? >
What is the nature of the Mother?

The mother is the dark, cloudy substance in the ACV formed from naturally occurring pectin and apple residues - it appears as molecules of protein connected in strand-like chains. The presence of the mother shows that the best part of the apple has not been destroyed. Vinegars containing the mother contain enzymes and minerals that other vinegars may not contain due to overprocessing, filtration and overheating.

The "mother" is what makes it. I'd go with bragg anyway

OK, so I have been drinking 3 teaspoons of Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar...it does work, but I am having to take it about 6 times a day. I hope it will be like AOM and I wont need to drink it so much. One good thing is that I am no longer taking OTC DRUGS for it. The side effects of those drugs can be bad. Can cause anemia and osteoporosis...so will this apple cider vinegar eventually make the acid reflux go away?

4 years and 120 pounds ago, I used to suffer with it badly. I would have to monitor what I ate after 6 p.m., especially spicy foods. My doctor used to prescribe Previcid and it whipped it big time.

I also read that chewing gum can help minimize it, bro.

Yes. It will eventually go away completely. That's the beauty of it pally.
