TweetIm no expert on mris but have had a bunch of them. I know they measure MRI power in Teslas. The enclosed lying down ones are a 3 tessla and open mri are usually a 1.5 tesla. i know people who own an open mri and they say their 1.5 tessla is just as good as a 3. Me thinks there are now open mris with 3 tessla magnets. Some surgeons demand that their patients get a 3 tesla mri because they say the pics have better detail. I have even heard of 7 tesla power mri. Some imaging centers will even put 3 tesla in their advertisments.I dont know. Cant they knock you out cold before sliding you into the tube?

TweetI had a couple of closed mris, recently, and I do see the difference in my images compared to the ones fuzo had. My images are more clearer, but you can definitely see the problems that fuzo has on his mri's. When I used to work at the cancer center, th docs always preferred patients to get the closed mri's.
