TweetGood luck with recovery bro. My coworker just had it and he had to take off 4 weeks. He is older though.
TweetWell I have had one by my belly button for years. It was a small tear and I could feel it a little squishy. But after hanging sheetrock in my new business a few weeks back I believe I tore it more. I had a little burning pain and pushed on it. Well it popped back in and the pain went away. I went to the Doctor yesterday and I am having surgery in the morning around 9:00 . I will be off work for a couple weeks so I should be around a lot.
Gone from work for 2 weeks due to business training in Japan. Get home work 2 days and now off for another 2 weeks for surgery. The big thing I hate the most is that my weight training is being put off till I recover....

They call you paranoid until the worst happens, and in the aftermath they will call you a hero.

Tweetthat area is one of the most common due to weak blood vessels from the umbillical cord. i have one as well and i'm going to have surgery in dec for it. i'm going to get the mesh plus have it suture as well. mine started off at about a inch around and is now two. i'm stressing about it
BB, good luck with the surgery tomorrow and what method is the doctor using? best wishes bro
Tweetthats like mine...maybe a little shy of an inch...i feel nothing, but i know it can go bad at any minute

TweetSurgery went great. 30 minutes tops then recovery. I actually had 2 hernia's. One was inside my belly button I didn't even know about. The other was to the top right side. It was about 4 cm and he told me he just sewed them both up. He said that area does well without mesh. And they was both small. The reason I had mine fixed is cause if your intestine comes out and it looses blood flow it could die. Then major surgery.
I am a little sore but just laying around.
TweetI removed the bandage today and I actually feel like getting up and about. I have walked around outside and I got the grill ready for some cooking in the afternoon. Thanks for the props.
