Because he hopes to fight the Fedor, who he said he believes is the greatest MMA fighter in the world.

And why does everything have to be suspicious.sheilds hasnt left yet so have strike force make another deal so dan can fight him. Dan has never been that type of person.Henderson is under contract that means he cant leave or he doesnt get paid and probabaly would get sued for leaving. again tnz thats aburd,I could see a young immature fighter doing something like that but not dan. That was a little sarcastic Fuzo, calm down buddy. But on a side note, if you think that kind of stuff doesn't happen, you are being naive.

And Henderson didn't stay with the UFC because he wanted 500k per fight. The UFC wouldn't give it to him....obviously.

Shields' contract is up and unless they can pay more than the UFC, I think it's an easy decision for Shields. Especially with GSP already saying that he wants to fight Shields.

And we can all say that Dan gassed and this and that, but that is part of MMA. He lost and lost unanimously. Everyone talks about Dan gassing but no one wants to bring up the fact that Shields is a 170lb fighter than moved up and beat a naturally 205lb fighter that cut down to 185. And it's not like Henderson cut for the first time. The guy has spent his career doing this and never seems to have an issue. So to blame his loss on a weight cut (that he should be experienced with now) is just a lame excuse for getting beat.

And who cares how hard Shield's hits? I mean really...his game is the ground game. He has never been known as a KO guy, so why all this talk now? He implemented his game plan, took Dan's hardest shots, took him down at will, and beat him. How can you downplay that no matter how hard he hits?

Tweetyes dan did gas but and as for training to lose the weight he could of just been lazy and off,sometimes its not that easy to lose weight we all know that.Hey theres alot of others that have said sheilds cant hit and this was way before the henderson fight not just me saying it. and even watching the fight those shots were like slow motion. Sheilds will get beat against dan again if it happens and I hope it happens
