Here is my dads old 38 special

      It is a Rohm RG

Just a sentimental value type thing. The handle was burnt in a fire. I want to restore it for my dad...get a new handle and whatever else I can do.

Any ideas or suggestions on a handle and other ways I could fix it up?

Holy shit! That thing got roasted! I also shot a 1965 Rohm .22short revolver this morning. That's a heck-of-a coincidence!

I'd say go with some beefier handles. Walnut...checkered... Have it reblued. Lube it down and you'll have done some justice for that ole charred .38.

A good gunsmith can or will know who can. Looks to be in very good shape. Did you look on gunbroker for original replacement grips? I think if you just want a good shooter- opil it up and change the grips and she is GTG
