Labor unions have done more for the middle class workers than any business owner has. Do you enjoy the weekend, the 40 hour work week, and overtime pay? All these things were established by labor unions. It was unions that first established health insurance for the workers. Unions are not about socialism. They're about making sure that working guy doesn't get stiffed by the big business man. I know that we make some good jack, no doubt about it. But I know for sure that when the bids for jobs are submitted, non-union and union prices run neck and neck. Non-union guy make half of what I make. All that extra cash goes right into the business owners pocket. They don't lose no sleep over that I can tell you. It's a shame how the media twists/spins information. The unions didn't ask for nationalized health care. Why should we? We got our own. I my opinion, health care is not a RIGHT. It is a personal responsibility.
