    hey- just for the record---- EVERYDAY is a good day to do some shooting. They make these guns out of metal for reason-LOL

      lol...oh yeah. I've stood on the porch of the camp and had a field day from about 80'.
      I even made the statement, the other day, about my new stainless gun and the weather.

        Ever notice how the cold, dry air in winter makes the report of a large caliber even louder?

        My M1-A National Match (civilian, semi auto M-14)has a big ol DP muzzle brake that directs the gasses, and the report, up and out to the sides and effectively deafens anyone on either side of you at the range.

        yeah...I love that.

          I'll have to pay attention.
          I actually pulled my ear-muffs off while my friend was shooting his 9mm a couple weeks ago, and it was cold that day. I was thinking how it was carrying like never before.
