  • IPL'S FAVORITE RECIPES~

    Here's a few of my very favorite recipes, mainly for breakfast !

    BODYBUILDERS PANCAKES~

    1/4 cup uncooked oatmeal;
    1/2 cup egg whites (I LIKE TO USE "LANA'S EGG WHITEs" OR YOU can use 3 real egg whites);
    2 packets Splenda (2 little yellow packets or 2 Tablespoons Splenda if from box).
    Mix together.
    Spray skillet with CANOLA non-stick coating. Pour into two pancakes on hot skillet. Cook pancakes.
    Serve with 1/4 cup of sugar-free syrup (the kind with Splenda Between 15 and 40 calories-depending on brand). I use no butter or substitutes with it, and don't miss it much when I have the syrup. I find this healthy and delicious, and eat it most mornings.
    One can make and freeze it ahead in individual baggies, Then grab it, put in microwave and eat it when one has little time. This is a healthy and filling breakfast for between 155 and 200 calories, depending on the sugar-free syrup used.

    OR

    1 cup oatmeal
    10 egg whites
    1? scoop Prolab Protein Component oatmeal flavor
    4 packets sweet n low
    Cinnamon
    Salt
    1 TSP. Of baking powder
    Directions:

    Heat flat pan on stovetop and apply Pam spray
    Pour desired amount of batter and cook until desired consistency (if you cook them too much they get very dry)
    Top with Molly Mc. Butter and you have yourself a high protein, moderate carb, low fat breakfast that is perfect for your pre-contest diet.

    These are great as well. May take a little tweaking to get it right, but they are delicious.

    1.5 Cups 100% rolled oats (may need to add more to obtain consistency like brownies)
    1 Cup water
    5 Egg whites
    3 Scoops Protein powder – I use Sportpharma / Vanilla
    4 Splenda packets
    1 Tbl. spoon Olive oil

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix Water, egg whites, Splenda and Olive oil in large bowl. Add Oats and Protein powder and mix well with wooden spoon. Spray muffin pans well with non-stick spray. Evenly fill pan to yield approximately 8 muffins. Bake for 10 minutes until golden on outside rim. You can bake less/more depending on texture preference. I prefer a little less for moistness and to allow for re-heating in microwave.

    Approximate nutritional value per serving (4 muffins):
    Protein 48 grams
    Good Carbohydrates 40 grams
    Fat (saturated) <1 gram
