matte black or stainless slide?

If you have a gun offered with a matte blued/black slide, or stainless steel slide. Which one do you prefer?

TweetBlack all the way. That is why I bought the XDM 9mm instead of the .40, they only had the .40 in black with the stainless slide. Both are nice but I prefer all one color.

I so fukin pissewd about the whole situation now that i could eat nails. I have an unconditional hold put on my new Ruger, so I couldn't bring it home. The dealer said it means nothing most the time. They just put a one week wait on it, then whne you come back, in my case, on the 2nd, they'll release the gun. \I know exactly why they did that too. It's a bullshyt reason because of an error with my address. I knew IO should've told the kid that was doing the call. Last gun I purchased under the same premises, everything went smooth as pie. But, I had to open my damn mouth and mention the error on my license. I should've just let him put it in as is, and I'd be a happy camper, cleaning my new gun.

Tweetno. me neither. I have realized that I don't really like 2-tone pistols. I don't know why i got the stainless. I like the solid black better. Oh well, the stainless is more valuable. It's more durable. Most folks like the stainless, ad that might be another reason I don't care for it that much. But...uck it now. I paid extra for the stainless. I don't even like the way the engraving looks on the stainless. It turns dirty. It looks dirty on a brand new gun. Like a reddish, rust color.
I'm just ready to get my damn brand new gun in my hands. I've been wanting a hi-cap 9. Now I have to wait another damn week. over a long, happy, drawn-out, go enjoy your land for days and shoot all you can, Thanksgiving break. ugghh!!!!

Tweetyeah man. I like the solid black too. I got a stainless steel slide now though. and I like it. It goes nice on that gun. I think I like the SR9 with the stainless instead of the case hardened steel that's black. The black SR9 is not blued though. It's some special super hard finish over case hardened steel. But, they had an SR9 in that black. It was priced right too, but I'm really not sure if I like it better than the stainless. That's about the only 2 tone, stainless slide pistol I like though. I have wanted a stainless slide Millenium too, but...I'm a mixed up soul. I'm sure the stainless slide will grow on me. just as soon as I can get the damn thing home.

TweetPolishing it actually crossed my mind. I like polished stainless. That looks very sharp. It has a polished aluminum look. I dig that. I could polish that slide in about an hour. I'd have me a purdy piece then.
